When we are experiencing good in life, we should credit it to God. When evil comes our way, we should put our trust in God for deliverance because unto God belongs salvation. Overcoming certain problems in life is not salvation. Salvation is the presence of God in our situations despite the evidences of problems and evil circumstances/Our Lord Jesus Christ saw the pain to be inflicted on Him on the cross. He sought the Father's indulgence to make the cup go over him, but the spirit overcame the flesh and seeing the glory beyond the blessing on the cross. He endured to the end and today, He is our eternal source of salvation. It is not evil that we should dread, but the instruments of evil. It is not things that are good that we should always desire, but to be an instrument of good in the hand of God and that our heart be a treasure of good things where good emanates and not where evil emanates. God knows the wicked and always identifies the good man, hence only He can judge aright. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delighted in His step." Psalm 37:23
